I have 2 projects and a few movies for each. If I want to see a movie for a certain day I click on the date and then get a list of visitors with their movies. But now if I watch a visitor movie and then want to watch the NEXT visitor's movie, I need to return to the list of projects and start all over again selecting the project then the date etc.

I recommend 2 links at the top of the player, the project name is already shown but should be hyperlinked back to the date list, and the current selected date should be given and linked to that list of movies for that date and project.
