We've implemented clicktale on our site. We followed the instructions for using the ClickTaleExec to enable our javascript actions to be tracked and some are working. Here is how the site works.

User clicks a button to bring up the search dialogue and javascript displays a div popup. The user then enters a search terms and clicks the search button which kicks off an AJAX call. When the AJAX call completes, a new div is displayed with the results.

ClickTale is showing us the display of the first div popup. But after entering the search criteria and clicking the search button, it doesn't show us the popup div which is created when the AJAX call returns. How do we get it to "see" the html created by the returning AJAX call?

Further, assuming we can get it to show us this html, will it capture the search terms so that when playback of the video happens we can actually see the results of the search and which result the user subsequently chooses?

Hello sschleicher,

You must add the XHR wrapper in order to capture XHR content (AJAX) and reproduce it inside ClickTale's recordings. Please see here for the code: http://wiki.clicktale.com/Article/AJAX_Support

Regarding the capture of the "search terms so that when playback of the video happens we can actually see the results of the search and which result the user subsequently chooses" - that's something that we need to check in order to provide a definitive answer. To do so, we would need the URL of the page in question, and instructions on what to look for.

If you are hesitant to post it here in the forum, please use this link: http://subs.app.clicktale.com/CustomerS ... x?ticket=s to send a ticket to our support team, so we can investigate this matter further.

Please include all relevant information, including screenshots, URLs and other data when submitting the ticket.
