Given that I only get a number of recordings, it would be great to exclude our office IP so we don't track internal users for our external site -- i think that will skew the results we are looking for.

thanks,

See http://forum.clicktale.net/viewtopic.php?t=90 for a server side based method
and http://forum.clicktale.net/viewtopic.php?t=15 for a cookie based method.

It would be nice if the IP filter wasn't just in PHP. We don't run PHP and really need that feature. And it isn't practical to install the cookie on hundreds of seats.

Is there any other option for IP filtering? Otherwise we'll end up recording a good number of our own people for no use.

Andrew,

We can't write IP blocking code in every possible language. PHP is quite common and using the PHP control script doesn't require your own solution to be written in PHP. Still, it shouldn't be too complex for you to add an IF statement around the inclusion of our script in whatever language you normally use.

Arik,

I'm certainly not asking for you to write it in every language.

Instead, why not include it in the tool itself? I've used online tools that filter out by IP. Is there something technically different with ClickTale?

Andrew

We just prefer to block the data from being sent in the first place, rather than it being sent, received (, processed) and then deleted.
At the moment we don't have efficient blocking means on our end but we might have something like you are describing released in the future.

Arik.
