Hi Arik,

I was VERY excited to see that this heatmap feature is next on your list.

This is by far THE feature that would increase the value of your service. In it's current state, it's really not of much use to me. However, if you can aggregate the data to a common prefix (such as the path and filename of the page requested minus the query string), it would be ENORMOUSLY useful to me.

So my question is. When will this be available for me to use?

Thanks!
John

John,

Glad you are excited about this. So do we!
We don't like to keep features to ourselves. Based on the progress so far I can say that this will probably be the next feature released.
I will ask if the relevant team member can provide a more accurate estimate.

Let me know if you want to get an email or a note when this feature is released. (this is true not only for John).

Regards,
Arik.

Yes, I would LOVE to get a notification when this is released. Actually subscribed to this thread so a post to this thread should be sufficient.

I'm really looking forward to it.

Thanks!
John

Dear Users,

We are delighted to announce the release of an added feature for our Heatmaps and Form Analytics Reports.

The new feature allows the user to aggregate pages whose URLs share a common prefix and vary in their ending. For example, this option addresses the need to view statistics for a group of URLs that differ in their query parameters.

This option is available in a new tab - Select URLs Starting With... - in the Heatmaps Report and Form Analytics Report. The tab contains a text-box where the URL prefix is enetered. To further facilitate the usage of this option, an icon has been added to each row of the URL list in the Select Specific URL tab. Clicking the icon will automatically insert the corresponding URL in the text-box so all you need to do is trim the URL to the desired prefix.

Clicking Select will display all page versions matching the selected prefix.

We hope you will benefit from the new feature!

what they should offer is the ability to track clicks like they have today and also offer the ability to track clicks to a page level tracking key like other sites...heatmapedge.com does it this way. So basically if clicktale had this ability it wouldn't matter what was in the url, if the visitor hits your home page or any querystring variation the clicks are recorded against the tracking key.
