Hi,

Our website http://www.paintyourlife.com is written in ASP and we use session variables to store all the shopping-cart values. How can we make ClickTale record correctly the shopping process of our customers? Is there a way to handle session variables in ASP?

Thanks,

Assaf

Hi Assaf,

Unfortunately we don't offer an Integration module for Classic ASP sites.
All possible solutions will require development work on your side.

Arik.

Hi,

There is no specific way in which you can handle your session variables such that the recording will be correct.

To make this work as you would expect you will need to either capture the content that goes out to the customer and provide it to our service or change your page to also accept your variables via GET parameters in addition to via session variables.

The first method is how integration modules are implemented. If you want to go through this route you will need to implement such code similar to the PHP integration module. See viewtopic.php?f=5&t=580 .

The second method replaces use of session variables or POST parameters with GET parameters. You will need to change your page to be able to read values form both sources, then construct a valid GET url for each page and assign it to ClickTaleFetchFrom API variable as a source for the content. See viewtopic.php?f=5&t=561 for an example.

The second option is easier. You can also aim for partial support, where only the most important variables are transfered while others have a default value.

Regards,
Arik.
