Hey ClickTale Team,

I have coded my own Joomla plugin for ClickTale, and I think it is a little simpler to implement than the current module. I am attaching it here.

Instructions:
1. Go to Extensions>Install/Uninstall browse to clicktale.zip and press 'Upload File & Install', should see 'Install Plugin Success'
2. Go to Extensions>Plugin Manager select 'System - Clicktale' to edit plugin.
3. Enable plugin (publish) and place tracking code received from clicktale.com in the two parameters - 'top' and 'bottom'

That's it, now every page on the site will have the tracking code added.

Let me know if there is any questions, or feedback of any sort,

Josh Guedalia

I've successfully installed this as a plugin for Joomla, but when I look at the page source I only see the
<!-- ClickTale Bottom part -->
& code......

not the
<!-- ClickTale Top part -->
& code....

Is there a reason for this?

Hi,

This Integration is similar to adding the simple tracking scripts yourself to all the pages of the site. This integration doesn't support POST of session based pages.
A shopping card usually uses session based pages and a checkout process usually involves POST pages. A better integration method in this case could be the PHP Integration Module.
See more info at: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=109
