Hi,

I have a question as to how ClickTale tracks and monitors a person's activity around scrolling: what happens when a person viewing a site is using the scroll-wheel on their mouse to move up and down the page, or using the up/down keys on their keyboard, or just using the trackpad?

Are these methods of scrolling all tracked evenly on ClickTale?

Also, if a site has an automatic scrolling element to access content below the fold (e.g. a "scroll down for more" button) is that registered as a scrolling method?

Regards,
Daniel

Hi Erez,

Thank you for the link, but it does not provide any answers to the questions.

I have searched the wiki, but there's no info there.

Regards,
Daniel

Daniel,

ClickTale records all the visitors actions on the page evenly, such as clicks, mouse movement, scroll-wheel, up/down keys etc.

Regarding your "scroll down for more" button question, since the visitor is asked to click in order to scroll down, it will be counted as a click and not as a scroll.

Do you already have a ClickTale account? if not, I suggest that you sign up to our Priceless plan and try it for free, for an unlimited time. (http://www.clicktale.com/plans)

Best Regards,
